Freedom of speech does NOT mean freedom to ridicule and to mock
Actually yes, yes it does....legally (in most countries) anyone can mock/insult anything/one they want as long as there is no incitement to violence or explicit hate speech.
Doesn't mean there won't be social consequences (insults thrown back, ostracizing, banned from forum, boycott, arguing etc) or that the insulted party can't 'fight' back VERBALLY but legally it is absolutely protected speech.
Fighting words with words is legally and socially acceptable, fighting words with violence is neither.
