Is it Hepworth's book The Mother-in-Law? The tagline on the cover is, "Everyone in this family is hiding something." I just read this book last month and thought it was pretty good!
I loved Never Have I Ever and those secrets were unfolded quickly after the newcomer arrived! =)
Is it Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng?
Ooh, or it could be forthcoming Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson. Anne recommended that one too and it fits the description.
Or possibly Everything I Never Told You, also by Ng. ? But I guess it would more likely be Little Fires.
