I think his ego would absolutely allow himself to be lured. Whether it's because the "lure" is him thinking he still has power over her, or he went with the intent of getting revenge. I believe she said in the book that he would not have allowed her to "have the last word" and she feared he would come for her, so him being willing to go to her when she called for him totally makes sense to me
Agree with you Katherine, regarding Chase and his ego. Also, he held a power position in the community and felt invincible.
Katherine - although I agree that Kya did not have a heartless killer bone in her body, she did have a huge survival instinct. And the only way she could survive was to remove the person who would have constantly kept preying on her.
