Of course, HATCHET is stylistic. It's told from a 13-year-old boy's perspective. I'm disheartened to see so many non-sequitur comments from "readers" who clearly have NOT studied literature at a university level. Literature study should be mandatory in high school as well as in higher education, so that readers are properly educated.
