I prefer to read books with characters I can better identify with (lesbian/bisexual female characters) but of course I also read books with straight characters. I just prefer to have LGBTQ characters in the books I read :)
Yeah, It's fine to read books with straight characters in it but there needs to be more diversity in both the sexuality and ethnicity of book characters as the world is not only straight, white people :)
i think that its good to have representation wherever you can find it.
I think this a very appropriate question. It makes complete sense for LGBTQ+ people to prefer books/movies/series/shows with LGBTQ+ characters in, as they can better relate to that. I was actually wondering the same thing about this book so I'm happy the answer was already here! :)
for those w/ limited time or energy,--which come to think of it is all of us--reading something that represents them may be preferable to something that doesn't.
