I thought the same thing about Jeremy! I thought i was the only one, and i agree i don’t think it was just a “writing process” i thought perhaps since they kept saying she writes from a killers perspective that was writing from Jeremy’s perspective and that was going to be the twist. But it wasn’t. And I don’t think the letter was sincere, it was just another manipulative writing piece.
I thought the same about Jeremy. Then I started to wonder if she started killing just to get a good story.
Plus Verity was disliked by her own parents. Along the lines of "God curses the evil" said her father.
I really did not like Jeremy! I just can't get over the fact that he was so duped by such a vile person! (And I'm assuming the manuscript is the truth here.)
i just felt like he was way too perfect as a character, i just kept expecting the story to gradually turn against him, but it didn't
I had the same feeling with Lowen, something about her similarities to Verity had me thinking that she was going to be worse off than Verity or come close too it or become just as obsessed with Jeremy (if she hadn't already been)
This!!! I was completely expecting some kind of finale twist, where either Jeremy and/or Lowen are revealed to have been the true antagonists.
I was expecting to find out that Jeremy wrote the manuscript as part of a plan to groom a replacement wife.
