Zunaira Ghazal I don't think she's dead. Samantha did a Q&A and she confirmed that Tane was not dead - it's just a set-up for the sequel.

Margaret Yes, I found this information on a Reddit board shorty after I posted this. Personally I think this scene was very poorly done. It would have been better if the author had at least written that Tané woke up to find blood, rather than writing that the next morning found Tané with blood on her side.

Flor Mv I don´t think Tané is dead, I think her journey is not yet finished which is why she might still have the jewel on her side
