This was my thought as well. I don't think we'll know for sure, but I took her reaction to him at the end of the book and referring to him as "Bear" as her knowing about his split personality and that was her way of reassuring him that she would stand by him.
Agree!! Was waiting for more after she showed up at jail!!
Plus, she always knew he killed Jay, her former boyfriend.
