Roxanne I agree as to why she would want to keep the necklace.

message 2: by Jnell (new)

Jnell Yep. I agree on that point as well. She should have destroyed it. If she had, though, we wouldn't have found out for sure whodunnit. The hidden poem she wrote wasn't a strong enough hint.

Phil Neely Jeannell,I agree we would not have known for sure that she killed Chase and that was probably the main reason for her to have it in the end.

Sequana or murderers often leave some damning evidence...for unreasonable reasons

message 5: by Blair (new)

Blair Maybe she kept it as a trophy?

message 6: by Kate (new)

Kate Nazzaro I felt the same way about the necklace. But then thought, what if Kya felt the necklace represented her love for Chase, and by taking it off him she was taking back her love.

message 7: by B (new)

B Stokes I think she kept it to remind herself that she would never let anyone take away her power or her ability to survive in her own way. Also, she would never be subservient to anyone. She would kill if she had to.

message 8: by Rachel (new)

Rachel It didnt' make a lot of sense to me why she kept the necklace either.

message 9: by Glenda (new)

Glenda I think Kya did love (in her own way) Chase. When he got violent with her, her love ended. She kept the necklace as a reminder of what love can do.

message 10: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I agree, I also had a problem with the necklace, but for a different reason- Why did Chase wear the necklace every single day, like it was a cherished gift from someone he deeply loved? Chase didn't love Kya, he was just using her. The sentimentality/romance he awarded the necklace didn't make sense.

message 11: by George (new)

George Michelle: Coulda been a trophy in his mind as well!

message 12: by Alisha (new)

Alisha Bale I think she took the necklace back to take back that piece of herself she gave. Figuratively.

message 13: by MaryAlice (new)

MaryAlice To remind herself that she won? She hid it, along with the poem, so did not think she would get caught.

It was hard to understand how she lured Chase to the tower, pushed him off, then went down to take it off his neck.
