Thanks, I knew the meaning of Metamorphosis but I wanted to know why he changes like that?

The story tells us how the attitude of the people towards Gregor Samsa changes ( A Metamorphosis) once he turns into a hideous and helpless beetle who is no longer able to support his family. He faces an existentialist crisis throughout the process and only in death he finds his true liberty from all the alienation and suffering that a society brings in.
