The Daydreamologist Yeah, I hate how you can't show natural affection today without someone marking it as LGBT. For goodness' sake, romantic love isn't the only kind of love there is. Friendship doesn't have to be shallow and built upon merely mutual "liking". True love, the one without gains, without any reasons for it, is the best kind of foundation there is for friendship, I believe. And that certainly doesn't in any way make it LGBT.

Kelly The author explains in the afterword, though, that he intended for Darius to be questioning his sexuality, and that he ultimately would identify as gay given time. So it seems that the author intended for this to be a book with LGBT themes.
