Enid How concerned are you about "historical accuracy"? Do you do a lot of research about an era, a specific event before writing historical FICTION?

Loree Lough I probably spend a full month (of 40+ hour weeks) researching the era, the locale, dialog, food and utensils, modes of transportation, weather and more BEFORE I begin writing. Once I'm involved in the story, when questions rise about, say, careers of the characters, the weapons/ammo they may need for self-defense or hunting, how mail got from Point A to Point B, I dig in all over again, and don't stop searching until I've found the accurate historical information. Authenticity is important in a historical! :-)

Enid I think that's part of why I love your books.

Loree Lough I'm happy to hear that someone who pays attention to detail (you!) appreciates all the hard work that goes into facts and authenticity! :-)
