I think the only thing that doesn't get resolved is (spoiler) the city on the light side of the planet? The rest is covered by the prologue.
I thought things being unresolved was sort of the point. There is no simple answer or happy ending to the problems the characters have. That was my interpretation at least.
I agree. This book left me hanging. Where does the story go from here?
