I don’t know what book you read, but there was no resolution at all in the one that I read. Just some wet silver eyes and boom! A bunch of acknowledgements. This book is the beginning of a story, not the end of one.
I also thought the ending was solid. It hit me like a brick. I think we're so used to series that sometimes an open ending is jarring. I could easily think of several worse ways she could have ended it. :)
