Zak Longo In particular, the show had a Freddie Kreuger-type character, who went around stalking children, and infecting their dreams with their worst nightmares. Hilda offered Freddie a deal that she couldn't be scared by the villain's nightmares, and if she didn't get scared, the villain had to stop. In the end, even she couldn't handle the nightmares, and her mom and dad come to her aid. So, it doesn't even resolve. My daughter has never had any worries going to sleep in 7 years, and for a month after that episode, she needed a light on and was all stressed out going to bed. She typically loves kid's horror series like, Eerie Elementary and The Notebook of Doom. But the horror in Hilda, the show, was more like 9-10+ level.
