Just turning 70 and I was thinking it would have been a great book in my 40s. Seniors see things from a different perspective. Will wait until it comes from the library.
There was nothing new in it for me because I've read a lot in this personal development (we used to call it self-help) genre but I found it DELIGHTFUL. I love her voice and I love the candor she shows. I'm in my 50s and I am recommending it to a lot of women.
Good answer Priscilla. I’m 43 and although I’m not finished with the book yet, there are chapters that I can certainly relate to. Others not so much. I’m not expecting all books to suit my fancy, but I can rate & review intelligently and with class. Rachel must be doing something right...”Girl, Stop Apologizing” is out and I see no signs of her slowing down. #WomanPower
Yes I agree! Although this book isn't for all ages, I think we all have a point in the book where we felt we could relate to. Also, it's great to see all the different perspectives in our lives and learn from each other.
Just turned 70 Priscilla. I read a few chapters that pertained to my lies I tell myself. Very helpful and appreciated those. I read a library copy because I wasn't sure about buying it. Had to wait a long time because there was a big waiting list. Those chapters were quick reads but took a lot of thinking on and how I wanted to change my thinking. Still working on those changes now and I finished the book and returned it to the library on March 31. I have my plan outlined on an index card on how to stop telling myself those lies. For this reason I highly recommend the book.
