Vicki be careful what you fill your psyche with... you have to be aware and proactive for YOU

Russell That is true Vicki. But, why else do we read stories like this but to be completely moved by them. To be absorbed and to feel what the author wanted us to feel.
It is, after all, just a book. Just an invention of someone's imagination.
So, let the story take you away. Then, when you're finished with the book, put it down, forget about it and start another one.
Susan, your subconscious will be fine. If we could not tell the difference between what we are reading and what we are actually experiencing there would be NO books, No authors, no stories and we would not be discussing this issue here, now.
There is a name for what you are describing, a psychological ailment, and none of us need worry about that.
