I actually wondered if Screaming Eagles was a reference to Sabaton and the Painting refered to Black Metal corpse paint. But then I thought no this is about 70s/80s Rock. That Sabaton has that song must be a coincidence and the painting is more a nod to Kiss or some 80s Glamour Rock bands. I might be wrong either way but it is fun guessing the references. Thanks for the awesome novels!
