Even publishers are cutting back on editorial costs these days, but II know many writers who use professional editors before submitting to a publisher, as publishers won't look twice at a poorly edited mss. So taking the care you do over your work, Caroline, is so wise and you can be sure of a book you're proud of. I edit myself, but that was my job for many years, so I have an advantage.
