Amanda Bredenkamp Exactly. Korean women shouldn't challenge the men in their lives. It's not culturally acceptable. But it IS abusive either way, and I will never agree with it.

Rich Uncle Pennybags I'd be a little hesitant to cast these pathologies as uniquely Korean; the intensity of them may be different but they manifest themselves in similar ways elsewhere, especially in cultures or subcultures which place a high value on group cohesion over individuality.
