Let me add, that I could not sit through the movie (in 2 CDs) for more than 30 minutes. I know that some liked both, that some thought they were the same. I could not stand the movie.
I agree 100%. There are so many comments here about how depressing it is and is there any hope. It's reality. Is everyone living in la la land or just fearful of the reality of true sadness that exists in the world and don't understand the the "hope" lies within the caring heart that Olive actually possesses. In writing that, I realized that most people don't/won't look beyond the ugliness a person shows on the outside. Everyone wants a happy ending but it's good to understand that oftentimes beneath the ugliness , there is goodness...as in Olive
