JamiG4 I can totally agree with this not enough "energy" idea, though I feel some concern for what I may have left other women open to with not reporting at the time. I was 14 at the time of my rapes and the evidence is long gone - would be my word against his in each case. And I must admit my own short-sightedness in being in situations where the assaults could happen. I believe counseling young women to avoid similar circumstances is a good way to prevention. At least it is one I can perform over and over and hopefully help in a concrete way for someone else. But I do comprehend how people who have been assaulted long ago come forward when someone that did so is running for a major public office.
