Elizabeth SPOILERS IN THIS COMMENT

Erika, while you said Kelsea was prepared to give up everything, her kingdom, her crown, potentially her life, you said you still had her sacrifice something. Didn't she sacrifice everything in the final chapter? Sure, she can start anew but how can she forget all that pain? All that sorrow? Seeing Mace and Pen day after day without them knowing her? I'm sorry but I just finished the book literally an hour ago (I'm not ashamed to say it was among a fountain of tears) and I just thought that she at least deserved something good in the end aside from a clean slate. Couldn't she have at least known her father in that final chapter? I admit I was furious when we found out Mhurn was her father, but was relieved at the end when it could have been someone else. After all the fathering Mace did during the series, why wasn't her father actually Mace in the end? Is there a particular reason why we didn't see that? Thanks! I will definitely read anything else you write, Tearling or not :)

Sara Marshmallows I agree with your comment entirely and have the exact same questions, still unanswered

Tonnia This is an interesting comment! What would you change, Erika, if you could go back and re-write the ending of Fate? (if you are able/comfortable answering the question).
