I think you just accidentally proved that the criticism of his writing style is unfounded, biased, political nonsense.
You list as a weakness of his WRITING STYLE "laughable climate-change-denier propaganda". That, by definition, has nothing to do with writing style.
Obviously you've allowed your personal political bias against those views to color your views about his writing ability to the point the two separate things have become indistinguishable.
It's not unusual for this to happen I suppose, but your review is sadly worthless because it's based on your political bias.
