This book is not about sex. It does not belong in the genre of erotica at all. While there are a lot of sexual actions described, those are part of the bigger picture, part of the power play, part of the political intrigues, tools for manipulation. They are not meant to arouse their readers. (If somebody is turned on by those scenes I am very sorry for those people. They are sick and twisted, but that does not make these books sick and twisted.)
