Mrs. Richardson was exasperating, yet I think ultimately she's the one who lost the most.
H-Grace - I agree. However, I saw a lot of her in Lexie. It seemed that Lexie's relationship with Pearl was a repeat of Mrs. Richardson's relationship with Betsy when they were in college.
