Mr_Toad There is undoubtedly a psychological barrier to be overcome when reading a sequel written by a different writer to a series one has enjoyed immensely. We naturally feel loyalty to the original writer who first captured our interest.

The sensible thing to do, if possible, is to read the book whilst putting all thoughts of who actually wrote it out of our minds. I'm 'out of my mind' anyway so it's easy for me! LOL

Jennie I think the sensible thing to do is respect whatever people want to do rather than force them to read a book they would prefer not to.

I'm glad you enjoyed the book; however, I stand by my original comment.

Mr_Toad I take exception to your accusing me of a lack of respect. I also fail to understand how you imagine I can 'force' anyone to read a book by commentating here.
