Thank you for replying. I own a Sony e-reader and do not own a Nook, a Kindle, a smartphone, or a tablet. The B&N DRM encryption only works on the Nook. And Kindle format only works on Kindle. (Both have apps for phone or tablet, not for other e-readers. The Kindle app also works on desktop computer, but I’m not inspired to sit at my desk to read a book.) So in order to read ebooks on my reader they either need to be Adobe epub or any format non-DRM so that I can legally convert to epub. (My reader also accepts the old Sony LRF format and RTF, but most publishers don’t use those any more.) I usually buy from Kobo or Smashwords, both of which offer standard epub. How can I find out when it comes back?
