I stated the book speaks to AN issue, but in no way did I say that tangential issue was a synopsis of the book's content. I suggestively posed the idea that change has happened, and wondered what other's perspective as well, as an indirect question. The question-mark was tacked-on, because that's how the allowed comment space prompted the tone to read as. And I spoke to that very 'pathway' from where we were to where we are, and objectively stated some older gay men find the progress unwelcome, even if it's a healthier place to move towards. I made NO statement saying the book itself was 'glorifying' nor damning the past, but just acknowledged that it seems change had happened, for better or for worse. When you are on that said 'pathway' onward to examine who we are and why, consider questioning why you chose to shame and embarrass me unnecessarily.
