Elke Woll You seem to comment a lot about a book that you profess is pointless. Just wondering ...

Gbolahan That's cos I admire Neil Gaiman but detest American gods.
Capisce?

Sarah That's so funny, it's my favourite and I don't care much for the others!

dsreads "Stop liking things I don't like" -Gbolahan
It's all perspective. I loved AG, and couldn't even finish NW.

Gbolahan Ironicironi, LOL. Just LOL.
You're right about perspective. I couldn't finish Fragile Things (how does one NOT finish a collection of short stories??) and yet I blazed through Anansi Boys. I finished American gods and hated it so much I wanted to shoot Gaiman. And I read Neverwhere and when I finished, for a while, I thought Gaiman was a god.
Perspective ☺
Your name is cool BTW. Did you come up with it yourself?

Bethann Martin I agree with you. I loved Neverwhere, the Graveyard Book, Stardust, even Anasi Boys (a sequel to A.G. but you don't need to have read A.G. first. I HATED American Gods, although I liked Shadow.

Gbolahan Thanx Bethann.
Meanwhile, why do you say Anansi Boys is sequel to American gods?

message 8: by Angie (new)

Angie Rogers Because Neil Gaiman says so, and it clearly is. It follows what happens to Mr. Nancy/Anansi after the end of AG.

message 9: by Sarah (new)

Sarah 🤣 While never where was alright I hope you mature into the ‘point’ of Gaiman’s more adult books
