Alison Woods Ready Player One is great. It got me through while I was waiting for the second Bob book to come out :)

Charles Quinn Loving your Bobiverse series. Have you read Diaspora? It's a hard sci fi with some similar themes, I'll bet you'd dig it.

Pete How are you getting on with your reading list? Ready player one is good, so is Armada. Red shirts is also very interesting and the style is pure geek. If you like Scalzis style, give Old Mans War series a try too... got into it rather late but it has some interesting ideas on immortality and duty.

If you're starting out in Python, don't forget your spacing. Horrible structure.

Dennis Taylor I've listened to Redshirts and (finally) Ready Player One. Totally understand why they're so popular.

Popcorn Dude Oh my god. All I’m hearing is my favorite books. Armada has SO many references. I recommend off to be the wizard and the other books in that series. References galore!

Bee Finally getting good enough at Blender to be dangerous! Haha! 3D modelling (in Modo) has been the only thing keeping me from reading ALL the time. (And man did I love the Bobiverse!)
