I totally agree.
I don’t think Ursula is intolerant of Sylvie, until she rejects her after the Howie experience. Even though this event did not happen in subsequent incarnation I think Ursula retains a sense of this rejection and it interferes with her relationship. Sylvia has anger towards women who are loose or immoral probably because her father spent all of money on his mistresses leaving her destitute. Her lack of sympathy towards 16 year old Izzie as an adulteress is case in point. This hostility alienates Hugh to some level eventually. We also get a sense that Sylvie married Hugh not because she loved him passionately but because she had no other choices. Hence her discomfort with other women having broader choices. Perhaps in her alternative lives Sylvie was unfaithful to Hugh. I do think Sylvia can be obtusely obnoxious however this is what makes her quite real. Take for example her wondering why Izzie is at Hughs 60th birthday when she didn’t invite her, and saying how typical it is of Izzie to flout politeness by turning up anyway. Sylvie as an only child doesn’t seem to realise Izzie as hughs sister has a perfectly reasonable wish to be with him on a major birthday,
