Sci-Fi seems to love these types of multi-book series. They did take some liberties with The Expanse, so my worry would be that IF anyone ever picked up this series that they would keep it true to the nature of how it was written. But what do I know, I am just a Paramecium on this flying banana.
It would be a better series than a movie. It is similar to the Dresden Files in that a single movie wouldn't cover enough story for a complete film but episodes are supposed to only be a piece or the whole. I think it mostly comes down to pacing. I don't know, feel free to disagree.
If this actually does become a series and they don't have R. C. Bray playing Skippy, there will be an active revolt, from me.
HBO won't be good, the latency will not allow for the bandwidth skippy requires. The free month is not worth it man, you'll forget to cancel it and you'll only remember by book 15 next year.
Yo btw, awesome shoutout from BOBiverse, made me so happy.
My fear if it became a series is the writers making up stories that aren't as good as in the books. Like say they want a long series then they are going to need filler stories in between the book stories. I doubt anyone in Hollywood can place characters in seemingly unsolvable situations and get them out of them by the incredible and crazy ways that Alanson does in his books. Alanson is a master at putting his characters in impossible situations and yet getting them out of them without resorting to deus ex machina or anything trope like that. I am in awe of Alanson's plotting ability.
