Kathryn Scott I Loved it too. Its my first Liane Moriarty and will definitely read more. The whole point of the book is gradual revealing about what happened, the actions each person took to contribute to it and the impact thier complex relationships had and continue to have in the aftermath. Very well done and hard to put down. I though

Tavia Thomas I also loved it! She is a favorite author of mine, so I would never pass on one of her books... love her style and humor,

Katie I liked it too - easily read it in two days. But it was not love for me like Big Little Lies and The Husband's secret were. Dakota alludes to doing something awful... this idea is built up throughout the book, even Dakota exploring self harm is mentioned. Turns out she just feels guilty that she wasn't watching Ruby. That was a let down in terms of plot reveals. Erika spends the whole book trying to figure out what she can't remember. She goes to therapy, she returns to the scene of the crime, she goes to Clementine's talk... oh turns out she was drunk and on medication and responded super slowly to what she saw. Another plot disappointment. Not that either of these examples aren't serious or exciting in terms of story - I just feel like the way LM described and built up this story - the "big reveals" were more like "little reveals".

Tressa Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret are fantastic. This one is not as good, but I enjoyed how insightful it is and how fair it is to ALL the characters, no matter their flaws. That's what I like about Moriarty's books. The character development is fantastic. So, if you liked this one, you will LOVE her others.

Lara Maria maybe you should consider the fact that people have different tastes and opinions of books and don't like slow paced books, like this one (which is super slow).
