good point about the shaved head. hmmm...
The boots were not recovered with the first body, they were recovered separately. The first body was Ann's. the second body was Richards. They recovered the boots (and other clothes, if I remember correctly) with the gun, to show that Carrie shot Richard, as the gun would have been with Richard or by itself if he had shot himself.
But why did Carrie leave the clothes. That's what I can't figure out
She tossed the clothes overboard so people would think she was dead. Carrie knew that Lo was alive and would be found eventually. Lo would tell the police that Carrie was wearing her clothes, so everyone would assume that Carrie was dead. Which allowed her to assume a new identity with all the money in the Swiss Bank account.
Carrie tossed Anne overboard the first night of the cruise. Bodies sink at first and then float. Later after Carrie and Lo exchange clothes. While Lo is running around evading Norway’s finest , Carrie must have gotten Richard to tell her his Swiss bank account Number and then she shot him. She tossed his body off the boat as well as Lo’s clothes in which she wrapped the gun and Lo’s boots. She probably dressed as Anne to get off the boat and later put on a wig and dressed as herself to blend in with crowd. Once in Switzerland she could access the money and get a new passport. The two bodies were Anne and Richard.
But Lo sees Anne on tv during the news report of Richard's death so who was the woman in the suitcase they threw overboard??
She was watching the announcement of Richard’s death and it included news clips of his life. One of the clips had a close up of Anne earlier in their marriage. Anne is dead, but perhaps not identified as yet.
OH WOW-- it didn't process that it was part of the news clip. Makes so much sense now, thank you!!!
The news report says that ann's body is recovered. Carrie somehow gets away.
