Bel Canto is one of the best novels EVER. Brilliant. And engaging, as well!
I really liked State of Wonder, but know plenty of people who feel it's not up to her typical standards. Wonder how they'll feel about Commonwealth....
Bel Canto is still my favorite Patchett, but I am impressed by Commonwealth, esp. the characterizations and the complex story-telling. (It was a slow start for me, however.)
