There was also the sacrifice of the All Father, and Odin mentions his own self-sacrifice as well (well they are the same guy, but details, details...)
@jeff are they really the same guy ? ... cuz they way i understood it that Odin stayed in his land and Wednesday was a representation ( a copy ) of it in america the same with thing with all the other gods in the book they are not the real gods but their american versions
Fantastic reading of Laura! Now that you mention it, sacrifice was a huge theme of the book, and it's in all forms.
