My Partner grew up in Wales and as a teenager got drunk and thought it would be a good idea to drive a golf buggy and drove it right off a cliff in Wales....and survived. When Ray was questioning that they did not recover Ian's body I just felt that he's still alive. Ian would have had so much adrenaline running through his body in that struggle that he could have survived. I was thinking there might be another book in a series with the ending.
He could have only fallen part of the way and been caught on a ledge.
Sarah, but what kinds of injuries did your partner sustain as a result of surviving that fall? Was he able to walk? How long was in the hospital recovering from injuries? Perhaps the buggy protected him somewhat? In Ian's case he had nothing to buffer his fall and would have been torn up.
