Thanks you, I definitely plan on reading the other stories just didn't want to miss anything important to that person's character.
Oh it is so much fun that way, trust me. After reading the first two books, I started reading the Aurora Teagarden Series and found more surprises. It is the only series of hers that I have not read. Coming across these guys is really fun. I have a friend now going back doing that. Either way they are great with the mixture, but coming in and knowing who they are and some of what they have been through and their secrets gives a secret thrill to the Midnight series.
My husband and I were just talking about his last night. Reading the Midnight Texas series is like visiting with family. So many of the characters and world building relates to other series that it almost feels like sitting on the front porch at a family reunion just catching up.
There are characters from the Harper Connelly, Lily Bard (which I haven't read), and Southern Vampire series. Many of the fantastical elements are references from the Southern Vampire (Sookie Stackhouse) series. Overall, it's a great series!
Thanks ladies. I always love when I read a short story by Ms. Harris and they have some random character that was in the Sookie series, so I think i'll read the other series first, just so I can get a better handle on their character then dive on into Midnight.
