Naomi Hey Jake, thanks for responding. We did read Wonder. And we have also read Reign Rain (might have that in the wrong order there) and Mockingbird. We are reading something like (again, sorry, the actual title is not coming to me straight right now) The Boy Who Loved Clowns.

Jake Awesome :) what is The Boy Who Loved Clowns about?

Naomi There is a girl who feels somewhat invisible in middle school, and her parents are caregivers of her uncle, who has Down Syndrome. He is the one who likes clowns.

Catherine Good point, Jake. You both might like Ugly by Robert Hoge which is the autobiography of an Australian journalist with a cranio facial anomaly and other disabilities. I just saw that there is now a kids version of this book available. https://www.dymocks.com.au/book/ugly-...
