After finishing reading the book, I still didn't get the connection! Haha. I thought that there was a fake copy of it with either Colette or Kitty. I didn't think Kitty would want to give it up to anybody considering the amount she spent on it - which was Jack's money all along.

This has been bugging me. Since Kitty Pong so publicly bought the Palace of Eighteen Perfections, wouldn't it be highly conspicuous for the scrolls to be displayed at Colette Bing's estate? Wouldn't guests speculate into how the Bing family acquired the Palace of Eighteen Perfections from Kitty Pong?
