Millie, I have extra copies of Gail's books and would be happy to send you the ones you haven't read. if you're interested, please send me a message here and we'll work something out!
Millie, does your library provide interlibrary loan services? This is when a library sends out a book request beyond their consortium (local library friends), to other libraries state or nation wide. These other libraries then send the book by mail or a state courier system to your library and your library checks it out to you. Interlibrary loan (ILL) is not widely advertised, but most libraries offer it. Another option would be to look into card holder requirements in nearby counties or local colleges & universities...if they didn't have the book then they might be able to ILL it for you if you became a cardholder at their library. -a friendly neighborhood librarian
Millie, That is so sad! I work at a library and we can never keep Ms. Carriger's books on our shelves. They are always checked out. I hope you can follow the Inter-Library Loan option.
Good Luck!
Since I can't edit a question I should add that link is no longer functional, it's now http://gailcarriger.com/chirrup
