Wow, I had no idea. I'm so sorry that happened to you and your family. Thank you for sharing that, however. I'm glad that the wonderful books you've written in this series helped you through such painful times while giving untold hours of enjoyment to your numerous fans. Knowing your inspiration deepens my connection to the series.
I am sorry for your loss and yes I can relate to it as I just lost a very dear friend of mine whom I took care of till the day she passed away. I love these stories and thank you for the gift of these stories.
Iwas so sorry to read about the death of your son...never easy. One of the reasons I got into what started as creative writing was the fact that both of my grandfathers, and....my great-grandfathers died years before I was born. I guess it was part of my "what if" game.
So sorry for the loss of your son Calvert, have to say.. What a beautiful and different name. Im so glad you found something after his loss.
2 very dear friends have lost sons, one on Mother's Day 7 years ago to a motor vehicle crash near home, while she was out of town. And the other friend lost her son very recently to his battle with lukemia. I wish my first friend would find something to inspire her out of her little black hole she's living in
