April Rahe I have just started reading the book but being from Iowa, and having grown up just outside of Cedar County the inaccuracies of place are very distracting. That said, it is interesting to see how others who don't have a real understanding of Iowa imagine it. I am sure if I tried to write a book taking place in Sweden it would also be full of stereotypes and false info.
Though this comment sounds very negative, I am enjoying the writing and I hope to truly like the book. I do think in the future you should consider really knowing the setting or at least doing more research. It doesn't help that I am listening to the audio book and the full on Southern accents for the Iowans are a whole other level of distraction.
