Diana Thank you! I think I missed that, I thought he actually got killed. that way it makes sense, basically in the past they had already been there, when they go back in time the story is told from the point of view of the future harry and Hermione and they really did not change the future. :)

Austin Byrd It's a loop. You can't change the past cause your future self would of already "changed" it, just been an observer, or fail at actually changing anything. Like when the rock flew through the window. Who did that? Future Hermione. Somebody saved Harry. Who did that? Future Harry. Nothing ever changed, it only showed us a different perspective.
