AF Thank you for answering my question! :)

Katherine I always thought Alexia could be read as bi, so it's lovely to have that confirmed as authorial intent!

Jay Rose who wouldn't fall in love with Madame Lefoux?

Tigerlille I think that there certain pockets of society in Victorian times that would understand all aspects of human sexuality quite well. I have often thought that it would be ideal to have lived as a wealthy eccentric Victorian aristocrat. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Of course, on the downside, there was a price to be paid, but there always is.

I thought I was mostly into women and nonbinaries, but then Quesnel happened... I guess it's a (nongenetic) Lefoux thing!

Ace Taylor I always thought so! Thanks for confirming this :)

H Oh! I knew it. So glad to have that confirmed. Rue's comments on it got me thinking.

Gail Carriger Adding to this, by the end of Reticence I've decided to canonize all Preternaturals as bi or PAN. Because it's my world and I can.

James Anthony It's actually referred to by Alexia herself in Romancing the Inventor. In her own words she's "the kind who likes to try every dish at the party".

Ruth Lanton I also get the feeling that Madame Lefoux isn't entirely binary. She's not quite trans, but she's not quite cis either.
