Do you know, that's fascinating. I loved this book as a child, and now I can't understand why.

I actually read this one when I was 14, and now that I'm 28 I'm reading The fellowship of the ring and man, I'm enjoying it like a lil boy.
It was the same for me, tried reading it as a child but was bored by the long descriptions. Next time I picked it up was in high school and I loved it. Later on I've been able to find even more depth in it. :)
I 100% agree. I've been trying to read this series since I was in middle school. Decided to attempt it again during the pandemic as an adult, and I am finding that so far it is on track to become one of my favorite books of all time because I am in the right place to appreciate it.
I’m reading it as a child, and yes, it slightly bores me, but I’m still reading it.
