Janet’s answer to “Who the heck is Lilly and how was she relevant?” > Likes and Comments

I discovered that same answer. Earlier in the story Sami mentions helping maternal grandparents getting custody of a little girl to keep her away from the other lying manipulative grandmother. After reading his confrontation with Judith, I thought that’s the little girl he was talking about. I’ve been trying to find it again and I haven’t been able to. Am I wrong?

Here’s what bothered me about this novel. Going in I thought it was a stand alone. There was a character named Lilly that was covered in a five sentence conversation with a main character. Seemed important at the time, but she was never mentioned again. Drove me batty trying to figure out the relevance. Only after completing the read that I discovered it was the second “Kierce” novel, and not really a stand alone. Funny thing though, Kierce in the first novel ”Fool Me Once” was named Roger in this one he’s Sami. It turns out Lilly is a featured character in the first book, but is Lily with one L and in the second she’s Lilly with two L’s. Who’s editing for Coben?
It may seem trivial, but those are the things that really irked me about this novel.
