I would like to let you know I actually applauded this comment in real life. Yes, horror has this and SO MUCH MORE because that is what horror is. Thank you L.K. :)
You can write about horror without having to make it about sex. You can write horror about sexual taboos and sexual violence without writing those scenes in gratituous, explicit detail.
This comment is really quite ignorant. Please understand that for some people, certain topics are just too uncomfortable to read. Sexual assault is something that sadly has happened to a lot of people, and for them reading a detailed scene goes beyond horror, and becomes very real. Thats doesn't mean they can't read horror, or deal with other graphic / psychological issues. Sometimes a little empathy to other people's experiences can go a long way.

Even minor head wounds bleed so much it alarms the reporting person into calling the ambulance. One where people actually died would have so much it would make a nonmedical (and even some medical) people sick.
