Really? I know the story at a high level is pretty bad but the language and words are so beautiful which is weird for the content that it's about. I'm not sure how far you got but just to read it for how Nabokov weaves his words and dances around the story is so interesting. Good luck.
What I mean it doesn't feel vulgar at all. Humbert is a gentleman in his descriptions. LOL
